DAVAO CITY — The Coconut Philippines Mindanao Trade Fair 2026 continues on its second day today, September 11, at Ayala Malls Abreeza in Davao City, bringing together coconut farmers, cooperatives, and micro-enterprises from across Mindanao to showcase locally produced coconut-based products.
Carrying the theme “Endless Opportunities of Coconut,” the four-day trade fair, which opened on Thursday, September 10, will run until Sunday, September 13.
Around 67 exhibitors from the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) are participating in the event, featuring a diverse selection of food and non-food products made from coconut.
The trade fair provides participating farmers, cooperatives, and micro-enterprises an opportunity to introduce their products to a wider market, establish business connections, and explore potential partnerships with consumers and industry players.
The event also highlights the potential of the coconut industry to generate livelihood opportunities and contribute to the growth of local enterprises, particularly those engaged in processing and developing value-added coconut products.
The activity supports the objectives of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), which seeks to strengthen the coconut industry and improve opportunities for coconut farmers and other stakeholders in the sector.
Organized by the Mindanao Trade and Export Foundation, Inc. (MINTEF), the trade fair is held in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Offices in Mindanao and the Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism of BARMM.
The public may visit the trade fair at Ayala Malls Abreeza until Sunday, September 13, and discover a variety of innovative products that showcase the versatility and economic potential of the coconut industry in Mindanao.
