DAVAO CITY — More than 1,000 residents displaced by a fire in Barangay 23-C are receiving food assistance from the offices of First District Rep. Paolo Duterte and Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte II.
Around 460 families staying in evacuation centers have been given packed dinner meals since Saturday, May 9. The relief effort will continue until Wednesday, May 13.

The fire struck Purok 4D–Mini Forest and Purok 5–Isla Verde on Friday night, destroying about 150 houses.
According to local authorities, at least 1,356 individuals were affected, while the City Social Welfare and Development Office ( CSWDO) continues validating the total number of victims.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire spread quickly because many houses were made of light materials. One man suffered second-degree burns.
The offices of Rep. Duterte and Vice Mayor Duterte said they will continue assisting families affected by the incident. ##
