AGUSAN DEL SUR -Some personnel of the Philippine Army will be deployed to augment the security force for the 66th Edition of Palarong Pambansa 2026 to be held in Agusan del Sur.
Some 916 soldiers from 401st Infantry (Unite N’ Fight) Bde. Philippine Army under the command of Brigade Commander Col. Glenn Joy Aynera had been part of the multi-agency send off ceremony held at the Cultural Center. Datu Lipus Makapandong Sports Complex, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, just recently.
Said soldiers will function as the primary security component for the Palarong Pambansa, 2026.
They will be part of the “ 2,000-strong multi-agency task force” of Philippine Army, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coastguard, and other agencies of the government.
Agusan del Sur Governor Santiago B. Cane Jr. commits to ensure a safety, secured and peaceful Palaro Pambansa 2026 which will kick off in May 24 and to end in the 31st of the 2026.
The elements of the 401st Brigade will be distributed to the different posts including “billeting areas” fot the delegates.
Some 20,000 athletes, coaches, officials, spectators and sports enthusiasts are expected to visit the province and to witness the events.

With the deployment of 916 of our finest soldiers, we reiterate our commitment to the safety and well-being of every participant visiting Agusan del Sur.
